Opposites in technology - Teach the teacher - Karol and Robert

Robert taught us to extend our thinking with Scratch and design a Spooky Halloween game!

He had a slideshow presentation ready to go and was a super teacher. We were addicted very fast and wanted to keep adding onto our games!

Karol had a really intricate game to play which challenged our minds just like the coding - except this time it was with string and making puzzles with our hands and fingers. We really enjoyed our morning with Karol and Robert!

An interesting contraption from Mrs and Mr Cammell! What do you think it will do?

Mr Cammell sent her husband down to R20 to show us a very interesting piece of technology. This invention not only peeled an apple - but cored it and sliced it - all at the same time! We were very impressed and had a slice of apple too. 

Why do you think people invent machines like this?

Teach the Teacher - Lockie teaches us fireworks art!

Lockie has taught us how to make crayon backgrounds and paint them over with black paint. Then we let them dry over the weekend and  we have scratched our designs into them with skinny sticks - now hey presto! Fireworks!

Who would like to be an Electrician?

Here is the circuit ready to go. Mr Muir has set the main parts up for us already. Can you see the switch, lamp fitting, battery fitting and the wires?

We are all really excited to be making a circuit. We are learning to put the wires in the correct place, under a screw, under a metal plate. We have to trace the line of the circuit with our finger to figure out if the circuit is complete. If it is not the bulb will not light up when we turn the switch on.

Robert is beginning to knead the dough.

Valentina cuts the dough into pieces ready for each person to roll into a ball.

Each ball is rolled in melted butter and placed in the tray ready to bake.
