Max H and Diamon's Teach the teacher - great fun boys!

You showed lots of patience today Diamon - you made a super teacher! Everyone enjoyed crafting their pencil houses!

Max chose his sister, Bailey from R7, to be his assistant today. They taught the class how to make their Grandmother's biscuits. 

STEM and Science Club at Sunnyhills School

Fantastic learning and display of growth mindset as groups or individuals during the last 2 Science Club sessions.

We have children from all Middle Syndicate classes, including R20. Last Term we talked about the America's Cup boats and children brought materials from home and recycled them into model boats. This week we trialled them to see which would float and stay upright! And which would not soak up the water and SINK! It was lots of fun!

Artifacts from families in our class have really enhanced our research - thank you!!

A pocket watch from the Trembath Family set the tone for the children to collect their own artifacts from home. There is a story behind every object.

Max has collected many cultural artifacts from his Dad's family from The Nederlands. The colours and patterns used on these things was very traditional.

Diamon has brought in an Irish Whistle and his Family Tree to share - it was so interesting to sketch - a big thank you to his Nanny!

Jack has a very interesting story behind this statue about his Great, Great, Great, Great Grandfather inventing the life jacket (I hope I have the greats right Jack!)
